Job Purpose / Position Summary

The HR Generalist will be the process owner of Direct recruiting & selection and plays an important role in the organization providing Human Resources support (Employee Lifecycle Management) for our manufacturing facility located in Danville. The role will also require to manage Employee Relations and Employee Engagment at the Unit.

Principle Accountabilities / Job Responsibilities

• Identifies and researches human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations.
• Extends Human Resources services by delivery of the following: staffing, employment processing, compensation, benefits, training and development, records retention management, safety and health, succession planning, and employee relations and retention.
• Responsible for non-exempt recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling; problem resolution; data entry; change implementation.
• Responsible for providing timely HRIS entry of data and reporting.
• Demonstrates organizational values and strong communication/listening skills.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization.
• Employee Relations skills including Conducting Focused Group Discussions as an important Employee Engagement tool.

Responsible for additional support activities as instructed by manager. This position requires flexibility with assigned duties as well as willingness to take on new tasks.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

• Areas of specialization: Human Resources

• Experience: a Bachelors Degree In Human Resources (Preferred) and 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing; in addition, experience supporting health & safety in manufacturing environment is a bonus.
• The following attributes are required of the successful HR Generalist: entrepreneurial mind-set, detailed & results oriented, hands-on, willing to go the extra distance to ensure employee/customer expectations are met, effective communicator with ability to develop successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to contribute in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Must have strong Analytical Skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
