Title: Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Location: Austin, TX (The person will be required to meet once per week in person to work through the projects, remote on other days).
Duration: 6+Months
Working hours: The hours will be 30 hrs./ week (780 – 800 hours for 6months contract)
Job Description:
This position will require over 5 years of experience coding in JavaScript and some experience working with Microsoft Power Platforms. A good personality fit would be someone who likes to be busy, who gets energy from solving detailed problems, who enjoys brainstorming and building solutions with a team, and has a learning mindset.
The position will use Microsoft PowerApps, XRM Toolbox, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Automate, and Microsoft Portal to support, write, and test JavaScript in Microsoft Portal, the Economic Development Department’s public facing Application Portal.
Projects include creating, modifying, and testing:
- JavaScript to account for 9 different languages (Arabic, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, English, French, Hindi, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese)
- Application dependent hide/show, required fields, calculated fields, if/then statements, and sourcing data on previous session records.
- Adobe Sign and Microsoft Power Automate automations within the Application Portal
- Building and supporting UX/UI.
- Data integrations with 3rd party providers
- 5+ years’ experience in web technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Full stack web development experience is a plus
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript with a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
- Familiarity with web development tools like Git, jQuery, and Bootstrap
- Experience with a responsive design for desktop/mobile
- Extensive HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript (jQuery, Backbone/Angular/Ember) coding experience
- CSS compiler knowledge (E.g., Sass, LESS)
- Experience with other JS libraries like ExtJS, Backbone.js, Angular.js, Node.js and other frameworks
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour
