Locations: Boston, MA / New Haven, CT / Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay-$50/hr on w2

This is what you will do:
The Medical Affairs Business Operations Specialist will support operational excellence across all therapeutic and functional areas within GMA, including strategic planning, financial planning, contracting, HCP/Ad Board engagement, and compliance related activities. As a member of Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Medical Affairs initiatives. This role requires strong skillset in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and managing logistics and vendors.
You will be responsible for:

• Support execution of the delivery of the key GMA Business Operations Activities: Finance & Accruals, Contracting, HCP/Ad Board engagement, and Performance Management, including operational aspects of the GMA tactical plans, and support to strategic and tactical planning.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of up-to-date compliance, legal, regulatory and other issues that impact programs and events and applies accordingly
• Engage with external vendor stakeholders as it relates to GMA activities
• Support high-level, cross-functional teams across international locations
• Support GMA stakeholders in daily Medical Operations management and ongoing project management
• Provide operational support to key medical activities related to HCP engagement such as advisory boards, medical roundtables, and scientific exchange visits
• Support Global Medical Affairs leadership team in annual budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and resource prioritization
• Support managing Medical Affairs budget across stakeholders
• Manage monthly accruals and project forecasting processes as well as reconciliation
• Engage with internal stakeholders and business partners across the organization
• Support quarterly updates to Global Approval & Reimbursement data
• Manage on-boarding of new hires to ensure the understanding of GMA financial policies and processes to ensure compliance guidelines
• Works with appropriate leads to establish event priorities, metrics, and budgets
• Manage all contracting agreements for GMA (vendor budgets, SOWs, and invoices)
• Work with legal department and finance business partners to develop and negotiate contractual elements
• Work with procurement to execute SOWs, source venues, and select sites for best fit locations and evaluate vendor services for venues

You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree
P&L management and financial acumen
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and operational experience
Acts independently with good judgement, when needed
Flexibility, the ability to adapt to changing project scope and direction
Strong influencing skills and demonstrated ability to create and lead successful cross-functional teams in changing, competitive environments
Strong interpersonal skills; fluent and able to influence others in spoken and written English
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
Mastery of Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
PMP certification preferred (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black belt)
Medical Affairs experience
