EVgo Hiring For Senior Manager, Process Improvement at Los Angeles County, CA Full Time

Position Summary: 

EVgo is looking for an outstanding candidate to join our growing company and Program Delivery team. If you excel at creatively and dynamically engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, love working with cross-functional teams to spearhead organizational change, turn strategies into reality and learning new things, and have been told you are highly organized and excel at “getting stuff done,” this may be the job for you. The Senior Manager, Process Improvement, will identify and implement the strategic vision for the company’s initiative to galvanize the electric vehicle charging infrastructure community, develop and coordinate industry best practices, and design novel ways to expedite fast charger deployment across the charging landscape. This role will lead initiatives involving extensive cross-functional involvement with teams including construction and engineering, market development and public policy, site development, utility engagement, marketing, hardware, and others to position EVgo as a thought leader and innovator in the electric vehicle charging space.

• Design and coordinate community events series (online and in person) in collaboration with marketing team,
• Work with EVgo marketing team to expand program awareness and reach using existing multi-media channels
• Create and push content through existing channels and create new partnerships with established ‘channels’
• Design and execute additional work products (blogs, videos, events) to increase awareness of Connect the Watts, demonstrate thought leadership, and maximize engagement opportunities with external stakeholders in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team
• Coordinate CtW and related efforts across multiple teams, including marketing, engineering/construction, site development, market development, policy, etc., to ensure a cohesive and effective campaign with measured, tracked, and reported milestones and impacts.
• Rally internal and external partners to identify, develop, refine and circulate industry Best Practices, through CtW and via other opportunities and channels.
• Finalize, launch, manage, and build EVgo’s new Charging Ecosystem Recognition Program to incentivize all external stakeholders to expedite fast charger deployment
• Coordinate CtW and related efforts across multiple teams, including marketing, engineering/construction, site development, market development, policy, etc., to ensure a cohesive and effective campaign with measured, tracked, and reported milestones and impacts.
• Organize, execute, and track executive engagement efforts with industry leaders (e.g. utility and real estate executives, state agency leaders, etc.), including drafting or coordinating briefing materials and follow-up communications
• Pull together multiple EVgo teams to identify and assess new or persistent internal and external “bottleneck” obstacles impeding speedy charger deployment, and support collaborative efforts to develop and refine creative approaches to mitigating those obstacles
• Develop and champion standard operating procedures for managing and utilizing data associated with CtW and other process improvement efforts across the department, using these metrics to track performance and goal achievement.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Program Delivery Department into a more efficient and effective unit. 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Self-driven and outstanding ability to implement.
• 7+ years of project/program management and/or process improvement experience, with increasing levels of leadership on cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and senior executives on strategic projects.
• Team player who can flourish working with different stakeholders
• Self-motivated and organized with a demonstrated ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple competing projects simultaneously
• Intellectually curious, desire and ability to learn new content and concepts and be able to think creatively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, experience building cross-functional relationships.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized, able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to lead teams that are not direct reports.
• Strong analytical skills – ability to learn new things quickly and translate technical information for a larger audience. Proven experience weaving quantitative and qualitative analysis into a compelling narrative.
• Previous experience working with external stakeholders (e.g. policymakers, corporate management, or in a communications capacity)
• Strong planning, interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success with business transformation and business strategy
• EV Industry, Clean Energy or Climate Change engagement.
• Experience leading engagement in these communities
• Communications training or experience
