Evolutions Brands is a growing 27-year-old leather footwear and accessories company. We design, manufacture, and distribute our eco-friendly products nationwide. Our brands include Bed Stu, Roan Footwear, Broken Homme, Oak Tree Farms and Santa Rosa.

We are excitedly looking for a positive, inquisitive Office Admin / Payroll & HR Specialist, who loves streamlining processes and problem solving. The ideal candidate will be proactive and have experience in handling a wide range of office administration, human resources, and payroll task.

This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must have excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and enjoys the challenges of supporting a company of diverse people. Someone who enjoys going home knowing they put their best foot forward and made a difference by supporting a company and its people.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Payroll:

• Responsible for timely, accurately, and compliantly processing the bi-weekly payroll.
• Consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll
• Manage payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Manage vacation / PTO accruals; review and report on vacation / PTO balances.
• Serve as a point of contact for payroll related questions for all employees; perform research as needed.
• Maintain, update and safeguard employee files; collect new hire paperwork; process I-9 verifications.

Human Resources:

• Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
• Implement a culture that are mutually motivating to both the employer and employee
• Administers all employee & volunteer benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, retirement program.
• Manage and Process On-boarding enrollment materials and information.
• Handle internal inquiries, complaints, injuries, and workers compensation.
• Design and implement employee retention strategies
• Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
• Responds to benefits inquiries on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes.
• Employee Termination: Properly record, track, and administer the steps needed to comply with COBRA law and appropriately deliver continuation of employee benefits.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s work health and safety policies, standards, and procedures
• Assists in organizing and participating in Employee Events

Office Administration:

• Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and hardcopies, as necessary.
• Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
• Order office supplies and equipment to keep the business’ operations running smoothly.
• Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls and other forms of correspondence
• Assist with keeping the office running efficiently by completing a variety of tasks supporting office operations through communication and daily interaction

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• (3-5) years in a payroll / office management function
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Paychex payroll software.

• Knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
• Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
• Ability to work independently with little supervision required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information
• Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve in a busy, fast paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point is essential
• Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team
• Efficient in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
