Requirements:

Associates Degree or equivalent experience
MS Office/Computer Skills – Excel, Word
Responsibilities:
Supports daytoday administration of benefit programs such as health, dental, disability, life, flexible spending and retirement plans. Functions as liaison between plan participants, third party administrators, and vendors as needed to research and resolve problematic claims. Educate employees on benefit offerings and advise employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters.
Ensures accuracy in benefit records by auditing HRIS benefit data entry. Reconciles vendor records and internal systems by conducting monthly plan audits. Researches and resolves membership discrepancies. Maintains health plan tier 1 directory. Reviews and resolves any missed premiums.
Downloads weekly changes from 403b vendor website and keys changes in HRIS. Approves 403b loans. Sends enrollment information to newly eligible 457 plan participants; ensures elections upon termination. Keys pension records in HRIS.
Provides staff notifications regarding benefits under Affordable Care Act, ensures all payments are tracked and deposited. Tracks/posts all benefit payments for staff on leaves of absence; sends reminders for outstanding payments.
Assists with benefit plan compliance with various regulatory requirements, including plan audits, filings, and staff notifications (COBRA, etc.). Downloads weekly invoice/reports from health plan vendor website and authorizes payment; updates master spreadsheet. Ensures benefit plan contributions post on a timely basis each week; provides any missing information as requested.
Reconciles weekly contributions to flexible spending accounts, ensuring accuracy between withholding and deposits. Sets up participant accounts in vendor software, revising as needed.
Audits STD spreadsheet from Staff Health on a weekly basis. Determines necessary premium contributions; creates and submits withholding file to Payroll. Reviews withholding post processing for discrepancies/variances; tracks and follows-up accordingly.
Administers and disburses all tuition reimbursement requests according to policy provisions. Processes invoices for various benefit plans.
Enters or revises job descriptions in performance management system.
Assists with annual events including benefit statements, open enrollment, and special projects
