Director, HR
We are looking for an experienced Director, Americas People Team – Seattle and West Coast. What you’ll do:
Lead an experienced group of People Team professionals in defined region to build meaningful end-to-end employee experiences. This means working across multiple teams across Expedia Group to collaborate on program design and implementation
Through internal partnerships (ex. Legal, Compliance, Operations, Recruiting, etc.) lead local employment and compliance considerations
Work closely with People Managers to coach them on their teams performance
Help steward re-structure and re-organizations across the region and site
Champion Expedia Group’s culture and values as a leader in the Seattle region
Activating the emergency preparedness people plan for the site
Comfortably shift gears from deeply sophisticated strategy discussions to rolling up your sleeves to get things done
Act as a trusted and conscientious adviser to guide our leaders and our people to be effective and to grow
Leverage strong problem-solving skills to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
Thrive in a fast-paced environment open to experimentation and continuous improvement
Who you are:
Demonstrated HR Leadership in an international fast paced organization, with a shown understanding of hr generalist, performance management and employee relations
Strong working knowledge of US employment legislation
Direct people management experience
Ability to identify trends and measure results, using data and professional insight using analytical, critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills with a consistent record to handle confidential matters with tact and subtlety
Passionate about the tech industry, embodies the Expedia Group values of being open, bold, moving fast and building social value
A natural bar raiser who exhibits curiosity to learn from others
Comfortable with ambiguity and managing change
Great interpersonal and relationship skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude
BA/BSc preferably in HR, psychology or related fields; or Equivalent related professional experience
