Position Summary
The HR Manager acts as a business partner by providing professional HR guidance and supporting our internal customers with the objective of adding value to the District. The position requires capabilities with talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, training and development, performance management, health & safety programs, and overall compliance with all federal and state employment practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports the recruitment strategy, sourcing techniques and implementation of innovative and efficient programs to ensure the hiring and retention of the best talent.
• Works with hiring managers to ensure successful on-boarding of new hires.
• Partners with management to provide guidance and find resolutions to employee relations issues.
• Provides necessary coaching and counseling to management and staff when appropriate.
• Implements the appropriate employee training and manages its delivery.
• Ensures compliance with appropriate governmental and legal regulations, policies and procedures.
• Acts as liaison with Corporate Human Resources on assigned projects and supports the implementation of HR programs at the District level in accordance with the established HR strategy.
• Maintains the annual benefits enrollment.
• Handles special projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

• Associates Degree in HR management, business administration, or related field and/or 1-3 years of experience in progressive Human Resources roles dealing with diverse Human Resources topics
• Significant knowledge in HR practices
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
• Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills with substantial business acumen
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
• Strong computer proficiency: Microsoft Office and experience with human resource information systems required
• Knowledge of safety principles
• Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people

We are currently looking for a dedicated professional individual with Human Resource and Safety experience to join our team at the Quad Cities District Office location. A valid Driver’s License and Drug screen are required.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm

Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 depending upon experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
