Reporting to the President, this position oversees all aspects of the Human Resources functions, including, but not limited to, recruitment activities, employee relations, hiring, employee benefits, management development, handling litigation, and the planning and implementation of related programs and projects in the best interest of the Company. Works with other Corporate Vice Presidents to create a corporate environment and culture that will foster growth and success for the Company and its people.
FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

HR Information Systems (HRIS)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborates with executive leadership with implementing the company’s overall core values, mission and strategic goals.
- Leads the HR team focusing on the areas of organizational policy, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, performance, and benefits.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation., benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Ensures compliance with employment , benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Analyzes the effectiveness of the various recruitment programs and proactively creates new programs to keep ahead of the staffing needs of the company.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Scheduling:
- Must be flexible and able to work primarily days, with occasional weekends when needed
- Must be able to travel to neighbor islands as needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to various locations
Physical Ability:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Occasional lifting of 20 to 30 pounds
- Standing/walking up to 4 to 5 hours a day
- Reaching/bending frequently
- Good speech and hearing necessary for communicating with the staff, employees, managers and the public, talking on the telephone, and conducting training
- Sight for performing computer work and paperwork
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Environmental Conditions:

Education:
- Minimum college degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study
- Formal education or training in conducting compliance investigations, and/or experience is desirable
Experience:
- Employment or professional history indicates an alignment to company’s core values and philosophies
- At least ten (10) years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in conducting investigations
