Financial Operations Analyst Hybrid Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring DOD Finance daily operations are performed as outlined in departmental policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with contractual response requirements for correcting records. Maintain complete and contractually compliant records for reconciliation. Escalate issues as identified during analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Handle adjustments, cancellations or corrections to clear edit errors to the as required by contract to ensure financial transactions are complete and correctly recorded.
• Back up other team members through cross training and workflow support
• Aid team in the identification of barriers to performance using quality improvement methodologies such as root cause analysis, process mapping, and issue prioritization.
• Process data requirements by assuring data integrity, accuracy ofinformation, timely submissions and management notifications when results are outside of expected parameters.
• Identify and resolve correction issues and errors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years work experience in related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Works and communicates efficiently with team members at all levels within the company.
• Performs well under pressure within team and individual setting.
• Internal drive to finish work by deadlines (self motivated).
• Experience with software applications such as Access, Monarch, Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills (i.e. presentation and written, listening, phone skills)
• Effective positive and professional communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas at all levels of management.
• Proven ability to plan for and integrate multiple tasks concurrently as well as work independently.
• Ability to work cross-functionality to resolve client issues.
• Ability to manage timeliness and meet tight client deadlines.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
