Summary: This position encompasses multiple corporate entities on different accounting systems and platforms. The ability to gain competency of the different accounting environments, performing at a high level of consistency across all companies is expected. This is a salary position and as such you maybe asked to work outside of the standard operating hours. This may includes special projects that may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains general ledger and journals to include monitoring accounts for discrepancies.*
2. Generates monthly adjusting entries to journals and general ledger.*
3. Reconciles all bank accounts on a monthly basis in a timely manner at the beginning of the month.*
4. Prepares annual company operating expense budget.*
5. Prepares monthly actual versus budget reports and send to all sales personnel, vice president for finance and administration, and the chief executive officer.*
6. Generates payroll charge backs to entities under the First Choice umbrella.*
7. Reconciles accounts payable, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue accounts as requested.*
8. Records deposits in Peachtree and Quickbooks for all entities under the First Choice umbrella.*
9. Reviews and records American Express transactions.*
10. Monitors usage and chargeback violations where necessary.*
11. Prepares monthly financial statements for all assigned entities .*
12. Prepares monthly depreciations schedule for all entities.*
13. Provides technical assistance and advice to departments to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations addressing questions regarding accounts and budgets. Assists in documenting departmental processes.*
14. Performs audits and departmental reviews.
15. Performs research and analysis of data and provide explanation for financial variances
16. Performs other related duties as required.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, inventory software, payroll systems, and internet software.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certified Public Account license (optional)
