Job Title: Staff Accountant, Central Accounting,
Job Purpose: Compensation Accounting tasks and responsibilities

What does a great Staff Accountant do?

In this role you’ll prepare and upload journal entries and complete balance sheet account reconciliations. Entries and reconciliations are to be prepared according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP). In addition, you will analyze various financial reports and prepare variance analysis when needed.

Staff Accountant, you can look forward to:

• Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing balance sheet account reconciliations
• Completing monthly journal entries
• Understanding journal entries and accounting workflows
• Understanding of accounting and operational processes
• Identifying and communicating potential risks in accounts
• Researching and resolving reconciling items timely
• Assisting Manager in completion of schedule and reports
• Documenting accounting processes and workflows

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

• 1-2 years Accounting/Finance experience
• 4-year college degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience in the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ability to work with diverse network of people
• Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes, and shifting priorities
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Access
• Automated accounting systems, such as SAP
