Under general supervision, performs journey-level preventive maintenance and repairs to Town vehicles, heavy equipment, power tools, and specialty support equipment.
Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Required: Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12th) grade and four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of vehicles and heavy equipment within a municipal operation; or and equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current Class B license and ASE certifications are highly desired.
