Interactive Life Forms, LLC (ILF) is accepting resumes for a full-time Ruby on Rails Developer. Interactive Life Forms (ILF, LLC) is the parent company of Fleshlight brand of products.
We are seeking an ambitious and adaptable Ruby on Rails Developer experienced in the ins and outs of development in a team setting. As part of our IT/Development team you will be working individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support custom solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects involving a global eCommerce platform. We are located in Southeast Austin.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record with the following:
- A data-driven approach to software development, with a focus on establishing metrics and analytics for all new features.
- A passion for high-quality code through establishing best practices, automated testing, and thorough code reviews.
- Complete ownership of their work, from design to implementation, to deployment, and, finally, monitoring and assessment through self-established metrics and analysis.
Requirements:
- Ruby on Rails: 2 years (Required)
- JSON: 2 years (Required)
- JavaScript: 2 years (Required)
- MySQL, Postgres, or other SQL like Sybase or Oracle Platforms: 1 year (Preferred)
- REST API Development (A Plus)
- Experience interfacing with REST APIs (Preferred)
- Building reusable components
- Familiarity with modern front-end and backend build pipelines and tools
- Experience working in an agile development environment (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban Preferred)
- Proactive and self-motivated, ready to jump in on Day 1
- Strong independent worker and team contributor
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced organizational skills
- Support, maintain, and resolve problems for custom features in live production systems, with occasional on-call availability
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Bachelor’s (Preferred)
- US work authorization (Required)
- Ability to pass a background check (Required)
