Operations Manager Overview:
Full time position responsible for managing business process outsourcing support for multiple insurance carriers. Includes detailed operations knowledge of the day to day ‘back office’ support needed by insurance carriers. Provides inspired leadership for the day-to-day operations. Makes important policy, budget, staffing and strategic decisions. Works closely with upper management of client companies with a goal of constantly exceeding service expectations. Works side by side with the Print and Distribution Technical Manager to ensure necessary infrastructure is in place and able to meet the changing business landscape. Very involved in working with potential clients and providing proposals. Promotes a company culture that encourages employee retention, customer service, accuracy, morale, and performance.
Specific job responsibilities:
· Working though department managers and team leads, manage the ‘day to day’ operations of the company: customer service, print fulfillment, premium processing, underwriting, claims support; sales.
o Printing experience is just a preference, not a requirement
o Insurance experience is also a preference, willing to train on this aspect
· Responsible for meeting or exceeding contractual service level agreements for clients
· Monitor and manage company revenue and expenses; maintain profit expectations
· Maintain R/E (rates of entry) for various team responsibilities and balance with high accuracy and quality
· Maintain training matrix, oversee training program for staff
· Oversee management of vendor relationships
· Maintain all client relationships
· Problem resolution for escalated client complaints, elevated issues, process recoveries
· Budget forecasting and reporting responsibilities
· Identify workflow efficiency and quality improvements, champion changes
· Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
· Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
· Assist HR with recruiting, interviewing and elevated employee concerns
· Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
· Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
· Work with senior stakeholders.
· Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
· Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
· Support open and effective employee communication with the management team.
Requirements:
· A minimum of 5 years relevant operations or executive management experience in an insurance company or similar environment required.
· Proven track record of exceptional dedication to provide friendly, customer-oriented service.
· Demonstrated communications skills, both orally and in writing, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
· Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
· Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, employees, clients.
· Ability to work onsite in Warner Robins, GA
