Job Responsibilities:
The FSQ Supervisor will work closely with the Food Safety and Quality Manager in monitoring,
quantifying, and filing all necessary HACCP and FDA documentation.
The FSQ Supervisor will also be instrumental in reviewing food safety processes and procedures.
In addition, the FSQ Supervisor will work with the FSQ Manager on various Food Safety and
Quality projects, including regular specification checks, chef’s tables, and vendor audits.
Assures all product produced at the facility complies with cGMP through supervision of Quality
Assurance Department personnel.
• The FSQ Supervisor would have a role in training new hires and existing employees.
• Ensure that the operation complies with regulatory and third-party Food Safety requirements.
Conducts pre-operational SSOP inspections prior to the beginning of the shift.
• Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps
taken to resolve deficiencies.
• Responsible for the revision of FS and QA records and the release of product.
• Implement food safety and quality assurance training programs.
• Maintains quality assurance objectives to corporate policies and goals.
• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry QA codes and standards
• Works with key personnel in the facility on quality assurance issues
• Supervise and direct the workflow of the department through supervisory staff
• Able to delegate and hold the teammates accountable.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and local county Health Department agencies
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year university.
• Must have three years of experience in the food industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations
• Working understanding of foodborne pathogens.
• Good communication skills.
• Be able to motivate and build a team
• Must be proficient in the English Language to include both written and oral
• Bilingual in Spanish / English preferred.
