Medical Records Reviewer

Position Summary: The Medical Records Reviewer/Data Associate’s primary responsibilities are providing operational support to the client. The Medical Records Reviewer/Data Associate will need to be able to review the client’s data from multiple sources to process requests promptly. The ideal candidate should display a positive and proactive attitude and good communication and time management skills.

What you will do:

• Understands customer’s data requirements and works to ensure timely processing of clean data
• Identifies and communicates opportunities for process improvement
• Review physical, optical, and audiometric examinations for accuracy and completion.
• Responsible for assisting with project tasks as assigned and routine quality assurance processes
• Assist in monitoring and responding to customer inquiries
• Assist in the preparation of status reports that are reviewed during team meetings
• Acts as point of contact in the absence of the immediate supervisor, escalating client issues as needed
• Demonstrate the core values of Client through all interactions with internal staff and external customers.
• Maintain an acceptable quality standard of performance as determined by the contract.
• Self-manage performance to meet the contract specifications.
• Follow-up with medical providers and applicants for corrections of incomplete medical examination reports.
• Provide prompt, accurate and courteous assistance to the provider(s) and applicant(s).
• Timely execution of case review including time management and strategic planning to meet contract deadlines.
• Maintain case turnaround time less than 15 days.
• Claim all cases within 24 hours of receiving them.
• At least twice a week continue to assess unresolved errors (complete holds), incomplete cases and incomplete/partial closed cases.

What you will need:

• Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving abilities, quality focus, and adaptability.
• Ability to show empathy and understanding while providing knowledge, expertise and guidance on programs, processes and timelines.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Formal training in medical assistant highly preferred
• 2-4 years of customer service or medical office experience
