Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator, your primary focus is to efficiently align capacity with our customer’s freight while ensuring that all arrangements are made for a successful shipment. You will grow and develop carrier relationships to help find the best solution to get customer’s product from start to finish. This role combines sales, account management, and operational activities to provide a quality level of service to both carriers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all arrangements are made for the execution of shipments including, but not limited to: data / load entry into TMS, appointments, vetting carriers, gathering driver and equipment info, establishing customer and carrier rates, tracking / tracing
• Facilitating customer and carrier emails/phone calls, following up on issues/requests- responding to all in an accurate and timely manner (average 75-100 touch points/day)
• Negotiating pricing with carriers to drive sales and increase profit margin
• Developing new and existing carrier relationships through lead generation, cold calling, and referrals
• Identify issues and collaborate with team members to implement best solution
