Fresh offers a hybrid working schedule with three fixed days in office, and two days remote. This role is based in our Jersey City Office.

We are a Purchasing team that brings value to our organization by procuring the goods, raw materials & services required to operate the organization effectively. Ultimately, the purchasing process impacts the product quality and helps in optimizing costs in the value chain by identifying key suppliers to meet these requirements. While supporting our internal partners cross function, our Purchasing team is collaborative, team spirited, proactive, progressive and solutions oriented.

Job Description

Your Impact to the role:

• Contribute to the fresh sourcing strategy as a key partner to the Packaging innovation (Metal & Plastic, Glass, Cardboard) team:
• Lead costs estimates of different design options
• Manage a competitive Request for Quotation process among a vendor selection from the global purchasing strategy
• Negotiate the best pricing conditions based on an understanding of components price break down, technical specifications and quality requirements
• Ensure to respect timing and approved conditions until the end of the development
• Suggest and achieve targeted project costs by proposing a total supply chain cost optimization and product value analysis
• Develop and propose improvements on the purchasing processes to achieve a low carbon footprint.
• Develop and maintain a strong partnership among Packaging Vendors (Metal & Plastic, Glass, Cardboard)
• Organize Suppliers’ innovation meetings
• Manage agreement terms and compliance, including Code of Conduct and NDA’s
• Lead suppliers’ negotiations.

Your impact in your first year:

• Strong Knowledge in Packaging Metal & Plastic, Glass, Cardboard
• Proposing ways of optimization in Packaging
• Strong knowledge of our ERP system
• Lead initial negotiations with the vendors
• Lead calls with our China team

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position on average of 7.5 hours/day.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.

Qualifications

Who You Are

You have:

• 5 Years of Experience Required in purchasing or a related field, ideally in the beauty industry

You are:

• Able to manage complexity and ambiguity
• A Self-Starter, driven for results
• Capable of managing complex projects and multiple priorities
• Able to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally through strong written and verbal communication
• Expert in Packaging Metal & Plastic, Glass, Cardboard

You possess:

• Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation and analytical skills
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• The ability to work with integrity, a sense of trust and a high level of motivation
• Proven Project Management Skills
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Proactively make recommendations on process improvement and new ways of working
• Ambition to learn more, with a curious mindset
• Strong passion for the beauty industry

The salary range for the role is $90,000 – $110,000 USD.
