We have an opening for a Shipping & Receiving worker to join our team. Our shipping and receiving team supports our everyday business functions by unloading materials and unfinished products to loading completed, packaged goods.
Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 230+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years.
Duties
- Loading and unloading materials to and from warehouse
- Organization of storage areas
- Receiving and organizing materials
- Create and verify tags on skids
- Keep the racks updated with correct tags
- Keeping materials organized in a way that is efficient for both production and the shipping department
- Daily temperature monitoring and communicating with the maintenance department when there is a problem
- Safe operation of warehousing equipment
- Order picking
- Pull materials for production
- Cross-train for other jobs in the Shipping & Receiving department
- Fill in for production work when caught up on Shipping & Receiving work
- Daily cleaning of areas of responsibility
Requirements
- One or more years of forklift experience or must pass forklift certification at plant
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient math skills
- Excellent attention to details
- Heavy lifting required (50+ pounds)
Shift
- Days: 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri (overtime as needed, no weekends)
Pay
- $16.00/hour + $2.00/hour bonus potential (flexible dependent on experience)
