First Tennessee Human Resource Agency (FTHRA) is a quasi-governmental 501(c)(3) entrusted by the State of Tennessee since the early 1970s to oversee various social service programs in an eight (8) county region. The programs range from NET Trans, Meals on Wheels, Personal Support Services, an Adut Day Center, Senior Employment Training and Criminal Justice Probation Programs, just to name a few. We are looking to hire fulltime a Deputy Director of Human Resources based at our headquarters in Johnson City. (on-site) This position reports to the Executive Director.
What You Will Be Doing.
This position is responsible for the planning, coordination and supervision of Agency’s human resource processes involving the compilation and maintenance of personnel data. Oversees administration of employee benefits programs, provides research and materials for Agency training and employee related compliance programs, and serves as coordinator for Title VI Civil Rights compliance and reporting. Enhances the Agency’s human resources by evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Education & Skills You Need.
College degree from an accredited school. required.
Previous human resource & employee benefits experience required.
Strong communicator with excellent time management skills.
Exercises good judgment, tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential material.
Extremely organized, high energy, affable, creative and detail oriented.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting – someone who is self-directed & results oriented.
Must be capable of exceptional developmental thinking and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft software.
