The GAMURS Group is seeking a capable and talented Chief People Officer to join the CEO and COO in this journey to redefine gaming and entertainment media. The GAMURS Group is looking for a Chief People Officer (CPO) to create the strategy and vision that will drive the Group’s continued success. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a strategic business partnering role in working with the leadership team in helping set and build the people needs for the Group’s future development plans. As the CPO, you will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function. Creating and leading the Group’s talent strategy and corporate-culture initiatives, ensuring we continue to live and breathe our company values across all aspects of the company’s operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage employee relation issues for all international staff, including coordinating and engaging with field office-based HR staff. In conjunction with legal local counsel, ensure compliance with the U.S. and international labour laws, supporting audits as necessary
Manage the full gamut of the employee lifecycle at GAMURS
Build out the optimal HR resources for GAMURS across the globe, working with and building new HR capabilities in relevant territories
Manage the recruiting, selection and onboarding processes. Work with management to ensure the selection of the right candidates for all positions
Build out the HR capabilities of the Group to ensure they continue to match the needs of the business
Lead the development and execution of employee engagement and retention strategies, plans, and initiatives, including the design and implementation of a training, mentoring and professional development and succession plan
Provide strategy and oversight of the administration of our compensation, benefits, and HR systems and process
Work collaboratively with the leadership team, line managers, HR team, and other stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and innovation at GAMURS
Advise the executive team on relevant compliance and employment laws and introduce best practices to protect the Group
Develop effective strategies for identifying skill gaps within the workforce
Assist in setting the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Develop the people performance measures that support the Group’s strategic direction
Manage compensation and benefits administration, including 401(K)
Manage employee welfare, wellness and health programs for domestic and international staff, including employee work health and safety
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Manage any third parties to which the payroll service may be outsourced
Ensure that employee record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Managing the delivery of relevant reports and data when required
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor in Human Resources or Master’s in Human Resources
8+ years experience in global HR, including USA
A strategic thinker with experience in building and managing global employee recruiting, hiring, and retention programmes
A strong open, and transparent communicator and influencer
Exceptional analytical and business acumen skills
An understanding of workforce planning and resource forecasting for a rapidly growing business
Experience in incorporating data, people analytics software and technology to drive productivity and culture within the HR function
Develop and implement compensation strategies and planning for the company
Relevant experience with global payroll and accounting systems and software
A clear understanding of global HR compliance requirements (particularly USA employment standards)
Experience in creating diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in multiple territories
Exceptional emotional intelligence
Develop training and management mentoring programs
Skill in developing company policies
Optimize the use of people analytics software to manage talent
Conduct executive coaching and leadership training
Lead benefits and retirement plan administration
Strong leadership and communication skills with an understanding of reporting to a Board of Directors
Experience in the media sector or related industries at an executive level
