The Job Development and Internship Coordinator is a key member of Gándara’s Human Resources Department. They are responsible for developing and managing robust and diverse internship and job development opportunities that meet the needs of a diverse array of service programs. They must have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic community, bi-lingual/bi-cultural individuals encouraged to apply. Recruiting and Human Resources experience is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop & implement effective innovative and recruiting strategies to attract Interns that can transition to successful employment in the agency.
Ability to develop and cultivate an opportunistic pipeline of talent
Complete candidate assessments
Build strong relationships with senior leaders and managers who are looking for intern placements
Act as a trusted business partner and consultant to managers looking for talented interns, leveraging knowledge/expertise to provide input in the area of internships, etc.
Assist with the creation job descriptions for internship
Manage intern’ information and update status on UKG or similar applicant tracking software system
Develop and maintain analysis and reporting metrics on recruiting funnel
Evaluate candidate suitability
Provide candidates compelling understanding of Gándara Center’s values and culture
Guide candidates through successive rounds of interviews to include appropriate agency team members
Maintain detailed database of new candidates, status of each in interview process, and tracking of required follow up on UKG
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain close working relationships with secondary and post-secondary schools
Act as a primary point of contact for schools, and students.
Coordinate Gándara’ s internship program including preparing internship placement materials, working with site supervisors and interns to manage requirements specific to the placement
Manage the flow of applications from the recruitment process through placement

Collaborative Team Environment
This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and interested leadership; it does not directly supervise any employees. This role has management responsibility for outside contractors engaged in sourcing candidates with the potential of managing the process. The Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner participates in a team driven and collaborates with other Talent Acquisition Partners as well as agency leadership.
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in HR, business, marketing or related field
At least 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or equivalent experience.
Success in creating a positive customer experience for both the client (field partners) and candidate
Proven success in thriving in a fast paced and ever changing environment
Experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, recovery or human services a plus
3-5 years s Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner experience or equivalent combination of experiences in one or more Centers of Expertise, such as Employee Relations, Talent Management, Recruitment or Compensation a plus
