Objective
Oversee corporate human resources and assist with DOT and other government compliance tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Human Relations for the company:
a. Maintain and keep all employee files current and complete (including DOT required drivers files)
b. Ensure job evaluations are completed as required
c. Assist with recruitment, hiring and termination at all locations
d. Establish and maintain company disciplinary procedures and assist Branch Managers with performance issues as needed
e. Maintain, update, revise company handbook to ensure compliance with current company, state and federal policies
f. Annual benefits review
g. Establish and maintain an employee training and orientation program
h. Maintain accurate tracking of all employee benefit time
i. Administer all unemployment claims
j. Oversee employee time tracking system and accumulate hours for payroll entry
k. Administer DOT drug and alcohol testing program
2. Maintain current local and federally required business registrations
3. Company Insurance claims tracking, submission and research
a. Worker’s Compensation
b. Property and Casualty
c. General Liability
4. Track reimbursements under self-funded dental and vision insurance program.
5. Maintain current vehicle files following DOT requirements
6. Publish monthly newsletter
7. General office support
8. Other duties as assigned
INTERFACE
Internal: Must positively interface at all levels within the company while acting as a positive role model
External: Must maintain positive interface with the customer, vendors and suppliers, and government regulatory offices when required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 3 years related experience in human relations.
SKILLS
1. Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing with internal branch staff, customers, safety compliance officials, and other diverse outside parties.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
