Essential Job Functions
Tasks and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Serves as strategic partner and escalation point to aligned division or function.
Investigates complex employee relations issues or concerns (discrimination, harassment, or retaliation).
Counsels and assists employees at all levels with ER-related issues
Exercises judgment and providing analysis involving extremely complex and diverse ER issues grounded in in-depth review of company policies, procedures, employment law legislation, and other factors.
Engages in strategy to design and help implement proactive programs and plans related to minimizing ER risk and providing great employee experiences.
Conducts confidential internal investigations and performance, conduct and workforce analysis reviews.
Provides consultation on ER matters to HR community and organizational stakeholders while handling immediate and/or escalated concerns, independently.
Completes analysis of data, partners with stakeholders, provides recommendations to mitigate risk.
Partners with HR Business Partners, program management, legal counsel, Compliance, Workplace Accommodations, Ethics, and other GDIT resources on sensitive ER matters.
Provides guidance to other ER Analysts and/or HR Business Partners, as appropriate.
Maintains current knowledge of related labor laws.
Effectively communicates investigative findings in written justifications and summaries and maintains accurate and timely case documentation.
May develop and deliver/facilitate training to internal constituents, HR community and business leaders.
Coaches and provide guidance to less-experienced ER partners.
May serve as a team or task lead.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus 8+ years of human resources or employee relations experience
In lieu of degree, 12 years of related experience is required
Demonstrated experience conducting complex workplace investigations
Skilled in basic HR and employment law principles
Experience interacting with senior leaders and employees on employee relations issues
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Government Contracting environment highly preferred
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To protect the health and safety of its employees and to comply with customer requirements, GDIT may require employees in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination requirements will depend on the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements.
The likely salary range for this position is $66,800 – $100,200, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
