Work Schedule: Full time in a production environment

The logistics coordinator supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the shipment and delivery of goods and warehouse personnel. They mainly work in warehouse settings for retailers and wholesalers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage and coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for district warehouses and stores,
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization,
• Direct and review work plan for assigned staff,
• Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions,
• Monitor storeroom and warehouse material usage,
• Aid in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency,
• Develop delivery schedules and drop shipment strategies,
• Maintain accurate records and files of inventory usage,
• Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems,
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel,
• Implement discipline and termination procedures,
• Prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary,
• Assist with budget preparation and administration,
• Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations,
• Discover new trends and innovations in the fields of warehousing and storage programs,
• Manage freight carriers for cost-effective product shipments from various locations,
• Respond to and follow up on inquiries from customers, vendors, and consumers,
• Accurately process and confirm customer purchase orders, pricing, and track shipments,
• Manage finished goods orders to co-packers and arrange logistics,
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations,
• Ensure effective use of premises, assets, and communication ways,
• Optimize procedures using logistics IT,
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff according to requirements,
• Supervise orders and stock raw materials and equipment as needed,
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers for profitable deals and satisfaction,
• Plan and track shipment of final products according to customer requirements,
• Maintain warehouse stock and executed orders logs and records,
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management,
• Arrange same day deliveries, when possible,
• Prepare accurate invoices,
• Other reasonably related duties as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive, respectful, and customer-focused attitude,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Results and deadline-oriented with effective follow-through,
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
• Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a plus,
• Proven experience as a logistics coordinator,
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements related to logistics,
• Ability to work with little supervision and manage multiple processes simultaneously,
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems,
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in customer service will be appreciated.

Education and Experience:

• High School degree/GED, bachelor’s degree a plus,
• 5+ years’ experience in customer service or logistics management,
• Experience working within a production and/or sales environment a plus,
• Logistics and freight schedule experience preferred.
