This is a remote position fully based out of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD.
The job involves managing scheduling activities for various space science missions, including operational and pre-launch missions. Some of the missions you would be working on include Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE), Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), and others.
You will be responsible for interfacing with various Deep Space Network (DSN) entities, generating scheduling requirements, resolving conflicts, and maintaining spacecraft support requirements.
The role also involves coordinating with other organizations and participating in process improvement activities.
Education requirements include a BA/BS degree in mathematics or a related field, and skills in verbal and written communication, computer applications, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications include 3 years of experience in network scheduling or related flight project experience, familiarity with specific scheduling tools, and knowledge of SSMO DSN scheduling user requirements.
U.S. citizenship or Greencard/Permanent residence is required due to the sensitivity of the work.
