Leading global banking and finance firm seeks a Agency Loan Services/Secondary Trading Associate with a minimum of 3 years of related experience preferably acquired in international banking, money center banking, or finance and able to support the Secondary Loan Trading Operations of a syndicated loan portfolio. This Secondary Trading Associate supports, guides and directs the team’s specialists and administrators in a broad range of responsibilities primarily concerned with the trading of syndicated loans in the secondary market. The selected individual will assist in hiring, training and coaching staff, providing daily performance feedback and technical expertise. He/She will prepare, review and approve specialists work, manage end-to-end workflow, generate reports to monitor and track department activity, manage and lead new business and product initiatives and liaise with technology partners in the project management and implementation of upgrades, maintenance, system testing or new applications. The desired candidate will be experienced in secondary loan trading including funding, capturing secondary trades using the loan system, supporting the calculation and settlement of fees, understand trade date accounting, work with funding memos, interpret credit agreements and related documentation, and understand all aspects of deal/loan administration functions and tasks.Desired Work Experience:3 to 5 years of related bank loan administration and secondary trade support experience with the ability to act as a mentor, or coach to support a team of loan specialists and review the work of othersKnowledge of LIQ or similar loan system, with knowledge of Trader Desktop or a similar trading system desiredAbility to interpret credit agreements and related documentation.Understanding of operational aspects of Secondary Loan Trading based on Trade date, and familiarity with Trade Date AccountingUnderstanding of bilateral and syndicated deal structures with advanced understanding of loan or deal administration functions (including all aspects of funding)Customer focused team player with expert verbal, written and interpersonal communicationAbility to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, with LoanIQ a plus but not necessary.BA / BS (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting or Economics or comparable a+This is an excellent opportunity to continue to learn, intern and grow in a professional and team-oriented environment.Excellent Salary, Benefits, & BonusOur client has consistently exhibited a strong growth record, remains committed to investing in its employees, offers an excellent and rewarding work environment with good growth opportunity.
