Gilbane is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to support business development and proposal activities and is responsible for contracts administration, management and close-out of client contracts. This person supervises and manages assigned contracts staff and will primarily sit in an office.

Responsibilities
The Senior Contract Manager will serve an integral role within the Legal Department that supports Gilbane Building Company and its subsidiaries. Among other things, the Contract Manager will provide day-to-day contract administration and support to one or more Divisions. The Legal Department is composed of nine attorneys situated throughout the country, and the Contract Manager may be required to assist each attorney at various times. This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel, who is located in the Company’s headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island. The Contract Manager should anticipate providing updates, information and reports to the Business Unit Leader(s) as well as the assigning attorney. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
A legal degree is not required for this position. The ideal Senior Contract Manager will possess solid academic credentials including a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 15 years of experience and 10 years of experience in a supervisory or management role. The ideal candidate will have relevant prior experience in the construction and/or related industries. Experience reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts and related instruments is essential. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong proofing skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment are a must. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Albany, NY and Buffalo, NY this ranges from $127,800.00 – $175,700.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Providence, RI, Baltimore, MD and Glastonbury, CT this ranges from $132,200 – $184,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Philadelphia, PA this ranges from $140,600.00 -$193,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Boston, MA and Arlington, VA this ranges from $149,500.00 -$205,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
