Field Technical Support Rep

Pay Scale: $25 – $26 p/h, W2, no benefits

Duration: Contract, Full-time

Status: US Citizen or Green Card only

Reports To: Project Manager

Working Hours: Hours of operation: 8am to 5 pm M-F

Work Location: On-site, Customer Premises, Baltimore, MD 21215

Summary/Objective:

Glow Networks is a telecommunication staffing and consulting company based in Dallas, TX. We are seeking a Field Technical Support Representative to work in Baltimore, MD 21215. This position requires advanced mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will participate in training to gain knowledge and expertise on Client-Indigo digital presses technology. Covid Vaccine Required.

Duties

• Replace Consumables, as needed, at each Device location and ensure that adequate Consumables are available at the Customer Site
• Manage consumable recycling/returns
• Client Non-Reporting Devices and work with customer were indicated to resolve non-reporting devices.
• Clear paper jams
• Assist customer with understanding device functionality
• Report any occurrences of Customer dissatisfaction to the appropriate Client Management Service resource
• Provide end-user training as defined in the Agreement.
• Manage utilization of On-Site spare Device inventory when required
• Provide initial troubleshooting for Device problems or perform spare Device replacements
• Track usage/activities at the Customer Site(s).
• Utilize Web based Software to manage fleet-proactive monitoring
• Coordinate the performance of preventive maintenance semi-annually.
• Coordinate with Client regarding Device and Client Branded Software Support Service calls
• Assist Client Manager in data gathering for weekly reporting to customer.
• Needs to be fluent in Microsoft Excel
• Assist with hardware refresh process.
• Primary location is Baltimore Maryland
• Must be able to travel between Baltimore (Multiple Locations) and DC (Needs a Car)

Knowledge/Skills:

• High school Diploma, Vocational or Associate Degree (technical and mechanical field) required
• 3-5 years’ hands-on field experience with industrial printers or similar equipment desired
• Strong mechanical technical interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to improvise
• Strong Customer relationship skills & ability to manage complex Customer problems
• Excellent teamwork with peers and Client personnel
• Demonstrate consistent and high-level performance
• Understand mechanical and electrical Wiring Diagram and high skilled mechanical troubleshooter
• Schedule and participate in on-site account support meetings both internal and external.
