Graham Personnel Services Hiring for Human Resources Generalist Job at Greensboro, NC Full Time

The position of Human Resources professional is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of all Human Resources functions, including but not limited to payroll, recruitment, employee relations, compensation/benefits, training & safety, and advise on company policy and program matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Human Resource functions: planning, organizing, and controlling all activities.

• Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.

• Accurately maintain employee records and submit those records to employment agencies & payroll service.

• Monitor employee review schedules & ensure these along with compensation changes occur in a timely fashion.

• Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departments to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

• Act as liaison for temporary employee agencies. This includes requesting people, reporting time, and any other necessary communications.

• Manage uniform system with uniform company to ensure employees have adequate uniforms and are always wearing them.

• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

• Perform benefit administration.

• Monitor new employee enrollment, benefits eligibility, ensuring that all required forms are completed on time. This includes insurance, Simple IRA, HSA, direct deposit, PTO, employee handbook, holidays, etc.

• Establish a safety team that will regularly meet & address any issues. Ensure that safety equipment is available and in use – gloves, back brace, safety glasses, etc.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, review policies and practices to

maintain compliance. This would include OSHA, COBRA, NC DOL, etc.

• Monitor for repetitive attendance and disciplinary issues and complete warnings where necessary.

• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

• Assist other departments when necessary to ensure that all company business is conducted in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits.

• Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations.

• Manufacturing or Distribution experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
