Contacts Inside: Daily contact with employees throughout the organization to address benefit questions. Payroll Specialist and other managers or employees.
Contacts Outside: Benefit providers, brokers, HRIS software contacts, etc.

NATURE AND SCOPE
The Benefits Specialist position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, business travel accident insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement plans, etc.). This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. Will work collaboratively with the Director of HR to continually investigate new benefits programs, improve existing programs, and monitor companywide benefits administration to provide the best benefits programs for our employees.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office working conditions, moderate levels of stress due to deadlines and the confidential nature of Human Resources, high level of accuracy required, and multiple tasks. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Occasional trips to visit other offices, attend training meetings, etc.
