About The Role:
Gretel is seeking Designers to join our team.
Your primary role as a designer is to generate unique ideas and top-tier design across a variety of executions. You can evoke a range of tones and explore a range of visual concepts. You’ll work within a project team to conceive, communicate and deliver best-in-class creative solutions against project briefs.
Day-to-day you will:
• Ideate creative concepts informed by strategy and project brief
• Sketch and explore individual brand elements: logos, typography, iconography, color palettes and graphic elements
• Explore how these elements come to life in dynamic visual systems across different applications
• Define art direction, photography and illustration
• Help shape and design client presentations
• Craft written treatments that articulate your design decisions and rationale
• Take an active part in client meetings, workshops and presentations
• Work with the Creative or Design Director to elevate the craft and refine design expression
• Work with the motion design team to explore motion and interaction behavior
• Coordinate with the project management team to ensure the work meets our objectives and timeline
Work with Junior Designers and interns to improve their work and skills
Ideal candidates are:
• Equally skilled in creative thinking and design technique
• Knowledgeable about design history: studios, photographers, typographers & movements
• Informed and interested in current design thinking and the state of our industry
• Collaborative and open-minded
• An effective manager of your time
• Detail-oriented
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of professional design experience preferred
