Performs tasks in the care, maintenance, beautification, and cultivation of lawns and planted areas; uses hand tools and power mowers; and performs other duties as required.

Training and Experience: None.
License Requirement: At the time of appointment, Candidate selected for hire will need to possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Knowledge of: the care and cultivation of shrubs, flowers, trees and lawns; operation and care of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
Ability to: understand and follow oral and written instructions; operate hand and power equipment and tools used in grounds maintenance.
Health and Physical Condition Requirements: Persons seeking appointment to positions in this class must meet the health and physical condition standards deemed necessary and proper for performance of the duties.
No examination is required for this position. Lists established by this registration will be good for a period of six (6) months.
