As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day HR activities, maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment processes, and providing exceptional administrative support to the HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the HR department, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, and documentation related to benefits, payroll, and performance evaluations.
Recruitment Assistance: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and corresponding with candidates.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Assist with offboarding procedures as needed.
Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.
HR Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
Employee Relations: Handle employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate HR personnel for resolution.
Training and Development Support: Coordinate training sessions and professional development programs for employees. Track employee training completion and maintain training records.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.
Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
Familiarity with HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
