The Junior HR Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of absences during bi-weekly payrolls and supporting production issues within benefits administration module. This position will work with various stakeholders such as human resources, payroll, and IT teams to test modifications to meet changing business or regulatory requirements. The HRIS Benefits and AM team is a fast paced, high volume, team oriented environment which is focused on individual and team performance as well as continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Junior HR Systems Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
Performs all activities related to timely processing of absences during bi-weekly payroll including executing absence management interfaces, processes, and audits.
Maintains absence-related data and documents and updates procedures.
Contributes to the production support of the benefits enrollment process.
Understands requirements and writes functional specifications for absence and benefits.
Performs system integration testing and coordinates user acceptance testing for any system enhancement or for production fixes.
Generates reports and metrics based on specifications using PeopleSoft query or SQL.
Audits data and performs mass updates.
Participates in all system maintenance initiatives including upgrades and patches.
Assists with absence and benefits-related interfaces to third-party vendors or other internal systems.
Provides technical assistance to HR Benefits by responding to inquiries regarding issues and problems.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent relevant experience in Computer Science, Math, or other related field.
Entry-level position in PeopleSoft HR.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a demanding environment, good organizational and communication skills.
Requires ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, management and non-management customers.
Knowledge of SQL and PeopleCode.
Proficiency in Excel and Google doc/sheets.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Prefer exposure to absence, benefits, or payroll systems.
