Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will be responsible for the supervision of the assigned personnel and the performance of any and all cardio-respiratory and pulmonary therapies ultimately responsible for the care and maintenance of all Respiratory Therapy equipment, accessories, and required supplies
• You will also be responsible for the maintenance of all appropriate records and reports to include department education activities as well as continuing quality improvement of the Cardiopulmonary Department

• You will develop, implement, and monitor performance activities for areas under direction and assure day to day compliance to regulatory agency standards as evidenced by favorable survey reports and routine rounds
• You will act as a role model for practice and plan, organize, direct, evaluate, and coordinate activities so that care objectives are met and are consistent with department goals

• Ability to perform duties averaging 72-80 hours per pay period; some weekend and holiday work is necessary. This is a 12-hour, Night Shift role.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program required; Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in any business, science or healthcare field required

• Two to three years recent related clinical experience required; experience with all facets of Cardiopulmonary in major tertiary clinical referral center preferred

• Basic knowledge of the growth, development, and range of treatment needed by respiratory patients including respiratory and pulmonary in all clinical settings in the tertiary care center

• Experience in the following areas preferred: Adult care to geriatric; Emergency department/neonate to geriatric; Labor and Delivery; Newborn Nursery; Level III NICU; Pediatric Care; Surgical Services
• Required to be registered by National Board of Respiratory Care
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Nevada Board of Medical Examiners required
• Nevada license to perform arterial blood gases required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Must be able to successfully accommodate a proper respirator fit by maintaining a clean-shaven face
