HR Generalist, Manufacturing

The HR Generalist, Manufacturing is responsible for providing a broad range of HR support and services for the assigned Highline Warren manufacturing plants. The HR Generalist, Manufacturing will serve as a business partner for site leadership and an advocate for employees in areas such as recruitment, new hire orientation, employee engagement, and interpretation and translation of company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing talent acquisition and recruitment process including requisition management, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer generation, and pre-employment screening.
• Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
• Manage the new hire onboarding process to include new hire entry into ADP.
• Manage and conduct the Manufacturing orientation programs.
• Process employment changes in ADP.
• Provide support and guidance to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave, policy interpretation, benefits, and pay.
• Interact daily with management and associates to ensure an open line of communication is maintained in order to identify and address any issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise.
• Serve as an advisor to site leadership for HR related topics.
• Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues.
• Monitor turnover and partner with site leadership on retention strategies.
• Plan and execute employee engagement events.
• Manage HR and Safety LMS training.
• Complete HR projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of employee relations or full cycle recruiting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• 2-5 years of HR Business Partner experience.
• High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Knowledge of HR practices and principles.
• Good understanding of federal and state employment law.
• Previous experience and proven ability to objectively coach employees and management. through complex, difficult, and personal issues.
• Ability to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
• Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with employees at all levels and the general public.
• Understanding of and execution of proven recruiting practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
