General Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain exceptional documentation with required data entry into HR/Recruiting systems and management of staff personnel files with onboarding info or changes in position.
Propose and draft new policies & procedures or update existing ones using new strategies or processes to improve the company’s effectiveness or enhance the workplace culture in general.
Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment process, including screening resumes, scheduling/conducting interviews, and hiring qualified job applicants for open positions, including onboarding, orientation, and training.
Performs background checks and employment eligibility verifications while conducting annual I9 audits.
Manage employee relations, including terminations, counseling, coaching, and documentation, and assist with developing and administering employee workplace satisfaction surveys.
Maintain an employee touch point schedule, so each team member receives a touch at least once every two weeks. Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Analyze headcounts, turnover rates, & other HR metrics to increase retention.
Monitors trends in HR, talent management & employment law & keep abreast of new technologies used to create, administer, and process standard HR documents regarding federal, state, and local employment laws.
Oversee employee relations as the liaison between management and employees, answering queries and helping solve job-related conflicts, dispute resolution, or other workplace problems when needed.
Manage employee performance issues, attend disciplinary meetings, and handle proper processes during termination/investigations, including exit interviews, to assess data accordingly.
Handle employment claims (unemployment & EEOC) & related investigations.
Provide weekly status reports about open requisitions and recruiting activities to leadership and hiring managers.
Tackle special projects or extra duties when needed.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Robust knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Proficient research abilities and precision when paying attention to details.
High level of organization and effective time management techniques.
Fluency utilizing HRIS software systems & talent management programs.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
Adept capability at safeguarding confidential info while exercising professionalism & integrity.
Experienced in Human Resources related disciplines (e.g., Compensation, Benefits Administration, ADA Compliances).
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex information in a clear and concise fashion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years is essential, which must include progressively responsible HR duties or related experience, ideally with a small to medium-sized organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (or HR related field) strongly preferred. Business degree or relevant discipline will be considered.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
