A Housing Assistance Specialist III is a journey-level position responsible for independently performing the full range of assignments in a Section 8 housing assistance program. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Community Services, Community Assistance Division, Rental Assistance Branch, located at 842 Bethel Street.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Substantially equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two (2) years of professional work experience which involved interviewing clients to elicit information; verifying and analyzing the information obtained; and determining clients’ needs and/or entitlements based on the application of pertinent principles, practices, policies, standards, and/or guidelines, one (1) year of which shall have been in determining eligibility for public or social assistance programs (e.g., housing or rental assistance).
