DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Human Resources Analyst performs complex level professional personnel work in classification & compensation, and/or budgetary responsibility, or other human resources functions. The incumbent provides technical direction to staff and advise management and employees on classification and compensation programs. Incumbent works independently with minimal supervision. General direction is provided by the HR Classification and Pay Manager and/or designee who reviews work through reports, conferences, and the evaluation of results achieved.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, Business Administration or closely related field and three (3) years of related human resources experience which includes one (1) year of experience in classification and compensation; analyzing data, conducting research and experience in compensation methodology.
– Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, Business Administration or closely related field and five (5) years of related human resources experience which includes two (2) years of experience in classification and compensation; analyzing data, conducting research and experience in compensation methodology.
– High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of human resources experience which includes two (2) years of experience in classification and compensation; analyzing data, conducting research and experience in compensation methodology
Certification as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Required to pass a background check.
