Westmont Hospitality Group is actively seeking to hire a very strong, exceptionally knowledgeable, energetic and experienced General Manager to join our phenomenal team for our 451-room Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center located in Denver, Colorado. Ideal for business and leisure travelers alike, our DTC hotel is conveniently situated minutes from downtown, the airport, and only steps from the Belleview light rail station. The hotel hosts 30,000 square feet of Denver Tech Center meeting space that includes beautiful ballrooms, boardrooms, and the Highlands Amphitheater.
*Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources office, focusing on maximizing the capabilities of the team by reviewing the coordination of initiatives and activities and providing regular coaching and performance development opportunities. *Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Payroll Department. *Assess organizational needs, develop aligned HR solutions, and implement strategies in the areas of compensation and benefits, recognition, HR administration, health and safety and health & Wellness. * Advise and assist with the interpretation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, applicable legislation and local Texas Labor Law as well as Federal law. *Ensure that the Hotel is compliant with all HR standards. *Be a role model within the hotel and exhibit and practice professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of Westmont culture. *Counsel and coach on job related issues, career development, performance management and conflict resolution *Establishing and implementing annual objectives for the Human Resources Department *Ensure the success of all hotel Leaders by providing direction, training and coaching in regards to all Human Resources initiatives including performance management. *Foster and promote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun. *Ensure a strong Health and Safety culture *Acting as an advisor and consultant to leaders in driving employee engagement. *Supporting and upholding Company philosophy concerning hiring, employee relations, supervision and disciplinary action. *Ensure the Hotel’s Human Resources Information System so as to provide accurate employee records that comply with all applicable federal and provincial laws. *Organizing employee social and celebratory events, with the assistance of the Hotel Executive Committee. *Identify and address all training needs of the property
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a Human Resources Director * Hotel experience preferred *Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal *Self-confident, creative and proactive, able to prioritize and make effective decisions *Ability to build strong relationships, interact and influence others at all levels of the organization *Ability to gauge talent and a candidate’s potential fit within in the company culture an asset *Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment *Strong People Skills*Computer literacy a must, with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
