Ideal Staffing Group Hiring for Cook at Medical Office Café (Mon-Fri starting at 6:00 or 6:30am) Job at Boston, MA Full Time

IMMEDIATE need for a Cook at a café within a medical office in Boston, working 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday, either 6am-2:30 pm or 6:30am-3pm) for a 3+ month contract.

Job duties include:

• Assists in the general operation of the food production area, with a menu including coffee, pastries, deli sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts
• Organizes, prepares, and cooks food products following recipes, standards, and menu plans.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area, meeting sanitation, safety, and health requirements
• Cuts and portions baked pastries, deli meats, desserts, etc.
• Assists in the opening and closing of the café, including stocking items, breaking down and storing items, and cleaning service areas
• Stores food products, rotates stock, refrigerates and/or freezes, and pulls items from storage
• Provides replacements for items and ensures the quantity of food being produced meets demand
• Enters transactions in the cash register, totaling the customer’s purchase, receiving money from the customer, and making correct change
• Provides excellent customer service and refers customer complains to the supervisor

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1-2+ years of institutional cooking experience
• Strong customer service, reading, and comprehension skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
• High school degree required

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
