The HR Generalist/Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration of HR policies and programs and office administration. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Team to implement best practices and support business objectives for a growing organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, policy implementation, employment law compliance and HRIS (ADP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Serve as primary contact for all benefits administration. Assist staff and providers with all benefit questions and issues.
• Maintain and respond to questions regarding employee handbook, policies and forms in a timely manner.
• Administer disability and ADA programs by advising employees of eligibility; providing application information; helping with form completion; verifying submission; notifying employees of approvals.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Consult with management and team leads, and employees in providing HR guidance and coaching.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of salaried and hourly employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Help to manage the wellness platform and volunteer opportunities for team members.
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity.
• Prepares new hires, monitors new hire check list – ensure that all forms are completed, all documents received.
• Ensures that all payroll transactions (new hires, promotions, merit reviews, transfers, LOA’s, terminations, etc.) are accurate and processed in a timely manner in coordination with the payroll department.
• Provides HR reporting and ad-hoc data analysis, such as turnover and worker’s compensation.
• Manages open enrollment process.
• Work daily in ADP and be a resource on the HRIS platform.
• Participates in Events Committee.
• Properly handle employee complaints and grievance procedures.
• Respond to all verifications for employment in a timely manner.
• Assist with the performance review process and system.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Office Management

• Receives, sorts and forward’s incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
• Coordinates internal company events by obtaining & confirming quotes, coordinating vendors, supplies, & catering, and overseeing execution. Requires occasional driving to obtain supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness of office and works with property management on concerns.
• Assists with setup of training room, preparing new hire badges, and training manuals.
• Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies and building keys.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and at least five years of HR generalist experience to include benefits administration.
• PHR or SHRM- CP certified
• Strong organization and detail orientation.
• Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations (state, federal, local)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tracking, HRIS, and timekeeping systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, all levels of management, and outside vendors, both in written form and verbally.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from candidates, managers, customers, and the general public.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with others

Salary: $48,000 – 55,000
