Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner
Responsibilities
The Marketing Liaison/Business Development Manager maintains relationships with physicians, discharge planners, and other care providers as well as prospective patients and their families
Complies with all federal, state and local regulations including corporate compliance and HIPAA Privacy Standards
Promote the mission, vision and values of the organization
Develops positive relationships with the discharge planners, physicians and families, marketing August Helalthcare programs and service
Maintains working knowledge of Medicare, Medicare HMO, Medicaid and private insurance company coverage for referred products and services
Communicate daily with admissions directors regarding admissions and discharges from various referral sources
Knowledgeable of patients’ financial status, diagnosis and discharge needs and documents these as an ongoing review
Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the health care services provided
Performs additional tasks or assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
