The Program Manager for Talent Planning and Development is responsible for supporting the execution of our Talent and Succession identification processes and educational opportunities. As a PM of Talent, you will work closely with the Talent team to implement Succession and Talent Management practices, build out the platforms and technology that enable the strategy and connect with the necessary stakeholders to roll-out Indeed-Wide Talent and Succession planning. This position will also require you to dig deep into the research and bring forth new insight and updates on over ever-changing models of talent planning, succession and future leader identification in order to inform our work and keep it current. This role reports to the Senior Program Manager of Talent Development on the Talent & OD Team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of Indeed’s Talent Planning and Succession processes and systems.
- Facilitate all aspects of the Talent and Succession Planning process for key business functions including CS & Sales and Corporate Functions.
- Provide real-time support to HRBPs, managers, and leaders throughout key milestones and deliverables of the process.
- In partnership with the Sr. PM, track and analyze key metrics, in partnership with HR Analytics, to understand assessment accuracy and make informed changes to the processes.
- Partner with the Workday team to make system improvements to streamline and enhance the employee and manager experience.
- Design and deliver pre-planning training and post-planning resources for HRBPs, managers, and leaders to effectively contribute to Talent and Succession Planning.
- Research and recommend alternative, disruptive learning solutions and methods to promote employee development and high-performing teams.
- Collaborate with various EEDEV teams, including the Career Development team on Indeed’s Talent sharing strategy and partner with key stakeholders to build out program
- Support the continual measurement, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of programming to ensure investments are delivering value
- Stay up-to-date on Talent development thought leadership with a focus on the tech space
- Utilize industry data, trends, and benchmarks to facilitate continuous program improvement and effectiveness
Who You Are
Experience:
- 5+ years in supporting Talent Identification and Development strategies, inclusive of Succession Planning and High Potential Identification
- Experience with how technology is used to provide more visibility into Talent across global organizations
- Talent identification platforms, Workday a plus
- Experience with Talent sharing programs a plus
Knowledge:
- Understanding of Talent Identification frameworks
- Knowledge of strategies to build more inclusive pipelines
- Impactful identification across levels and types: Successors, High-Potentials, and entry-level leaders up through senior leaders
- Developing and executing a measurement strategy
- Using data effectively: conduct needs analysis, use aggregate data to inform program development, measure progress, and support program ROI strategy
- Initiating and facilitating consultative practices in order to co-create organizational development solutions
- Prior experience with a variety of Project Management methodologies

- Detailed project planning
- Relationship building across levels and functions
- Communicating effectively and working collaboratively across mediums and with diverse audiences, with emphasis on senior-level audiences
- Effective in ambiguous environments; seeks clarity when needed and able to be nimble when faced with incomplete or conflicting data or solutions

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 63,000 – 95,000 USD per year
