Responsibilities:
- Maintains the operational, technical, and support requirements for complex comprehensive and analog video surveillance systems.
- Replace/install DVR and NVR
- Replace/install network switches
- Troubleshoot coaxial cabling connections
- Troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6
- Repair cable ends to include BNC connectors and RJ45 connectors
- Troubleshoot network connected PCs that communicate with Video surveillance IP Windows based server
- Travel throughout assigned region to include overnight travel if location is more than 100 miles from base office.
- Participate in special projects that would include overnight travel.
- Replace hard drives in Windows servers
Qualifications and Skills
As a Technician, you must combine technical expertise in security systems with the ability to effectively self-manage and work effectively on an independent basis.
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Reliable transportation – Truck/VAN
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Minimum 2 years’ experience performing similar duties including installing or servicing security systems
- Expert troubleshooting skills in CCTV systems
- Proficiency with computer hardware components and software packages
- Basic computer skills
- Punctual & demonstrate a high attendance record
- The ability to use power tools
- The ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to work in high security prison environment requiring routine searches and pat downs
- Experience in reading and interpreting operational/product manuals.
- Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tool
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
