Job Details for the Crisis Worker:
- $26 per hour
- Part time and full time
- Shifts: 12AM – 8AM, 8AM – 4PM, and 4PM -12AM
As a Crisis Worker, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- providing immediate response to screen incoming calls
- perform timely face-to-face client assessments for on-site intervention and disposition in consultation with the Center’s on call psychiatrist and emergency room physicians
- consult with county delegates regarding section 302 warrants and involuntary commitments for inpatient psychiatric care
- provide information and referral for individuals engaged who do not require psychiatric hospitalization
- work cooperatively and collaboratively with coworkers and emergency room staff
A few must-haves for Crisis Worker:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health or directly related field
- Must have a Valid PA Driver’s License
- Must possess a self-directed and disciplined approach and the ability to complete all duties efficiently
- Must have a professional, non judgmental, demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with clinical and non-clinical staff
