The International School of Texas (IST) announces its search for a full-time Kindergarten Support Teacher to begin duties in August 2022. This position’s primary responsibility will be to support the teaching and learning in the kindergarten classroom, in collaboration with the Kindergarten Lead Teacher.

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the teaching and learning within our kindergarten classroom. Preference will be given to teachers with experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate School.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The Support Teacher must have experience teaching in the primary years. The successful candidate should have experience integrating curriculum with authentic, inquiry-based or project-based learning, specific to early primary learners. This position requires basic computer knowledge.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, IST faculty have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular and club activities that enrich the IST experience. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.

· Two or more years of Primary teaching experience.

· Pedagogical best practices with SEL/Mindfulness.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· International Baccalaureate experience is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,500.00 – $43,000.00 per year
