Inverse Paradox Hiring for WordPress / PHP Developer at Hulmeville, PA Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programming, developing, website coding, and producing data-driven web applications, websites using WordPress and WooCommerce
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers on client projects
• Consult with clients as needed
• Contribute to the development of the misc. company special projects
• Manage your own time & development between multiple projects & clients to meet deliverables
• Follow and contribute to our internal standards
• Keep up on the latest trends and best practices in web development
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

This role is primarily to be more of a backend/application developer within WordPress and WooCommerce. Although frontend development is not the primary scope of the role, strong familiarity and flexibility to work within the frontend is essential.

• Understanding of eCommerce
• Must have a thorough understanding of common workflows and best practices for maintaining version control using Git
• Ability to work with complex sets of data and perform data migrations using both import tools and APIs
• Excellent working knowledge of connecting applications through the use of APIs
• Working knowledge of basic PHP and MySQL
• An understanding of programming security best practices
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS
• An understanding of front-end optimization techniques for performance

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with WooCommerce and WordPress
• Knowledge of usability / user experience design
• Familiarity with issues in web design & development and accessibility
• Familiarity with using command line tools on Linux servers
• Involvement in the open source community

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of web development with samples of work aligned to job qualifications & skills
• Previous development firm/agency experience preferred
• U.S.-based
